New flashing yellow arrow traffic signal at Pima Mine Rd. & Rancho Sahuarita Blvd.

On Tuesday,  January 24, 2012, the Town of Sahuarita is scheduled to install a flashing yellow arrow for the west-bound Pima Mine Rd. traffic at Rancho Sahuarita Blvd. Click on the flyer link that explains how the yellow flashing arrow operates. This improvement will help move the westbound Pima Mine Rd. traffic wanting to turn left at Rancho Sahuarita Blvd by decreasing the wait time previously experienced at this intersection. In short, traffic should flow more smoothly through this intersection. For questions, contact Rick Robinson, Right of Way Manager, Town of Sahuarita, 344-7100, or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Imagine Greater Tucson needs Sahuarita to "Take the Survey"

January 15 through February 29, you have an opportunity to define the Greater Tucson Region. This survey allows you to influence the future of land use, transportation, and conservation in your community. The survey provides a community vision developed by local citizens for local jurisdictions to consider incorporating into their respective general or comprehensive plans. Sahuarita residents were part of this process. Your voice is critical in this regional visioning process.

Look for their survey insert in this Sunday's Arizona Daily Star January 15th paper, or take the online survey at www.ImagineGreaterTucson.org/survey.

Working from community conversations held in 2010 and the compilation of existing trends, Imagine Greater Tucson found that growth projections are at odds with 66 overall "Shared Regional Values". Last spring, more than 600 people attended mapping workshops where they shared their vision for what they want the future of the region to look like based on these values.
