Pima County Open Houses for Draft ASARCO Mission Mine Air Quality Permit
Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) is hosting two Open House events on the ASARCO Mission Mine Draft Air Quality Permit that are free and open to the public. PDEQ staff and U of A experts (available at September 23rd meeting only) will provide information on topics such as the PDEQ air quality permitting process, compliance and enforcement, health issues associated with tailing dam dust emissions, and the ASARCO draft permit. Learn details about the draft permit and share your questions, concerns, and suggestions regarding the permit with staff.
Open House #1: Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Sahuarita Town Hall Council Chambers, 375 W. Sahuarita Way, Sahuarita, Arizona.
Open House #2: Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 4:30pm-6:30pm, Green Valley Library, 601 N. La Canada Drive, Green Valley, Arizona.
