Housing Developments

Sahuarita continues to experience growth throughout the town.  Available housing provides an impressive array of styles, sizes, and personal choice in the three Specific Plan master-planned communities of Madera Highlands, Rancho Sahuarita and Quail Creek.  Families desiring other housing opportunities apart from a master-planned development have many alternatives throughout Sahuarita:  La Canada Norte I & II, Rancho Abrego, La Joya Verde (age restricted), Mountain View Estates, Los Arroyos, Santa Rita Villas, Rancho Buena Vista, and Santo Tomas Villas just to name a few.  Horse lovers wanting acreage can find prime pieces of residential land throughout the Town.

Master Planned Communities:

Madera Highlands is nestled between pecan trees at the southern most area of the Town’s boundary.  Madera Highlands will showcase approximately 617 homes in Phase I of the development and will be built by multiple builders on land that was once a part of the Farmers Investment Company pecan groves.  To maintain the integrity of the groves, pecan trees were left in place throughout the development.  Walking trails, a performance amphitheater, botanical garden and sports field will provide families many opportunities for fun and relaxation in this non-age restricted community.

Rancho Sahuarita is the vision of developer Robert Sharpe & Associates.  When the last home is built, the community will be home to approximately 11,000 families.  This master-planned community will provide for commercial, retail, municipal, educational and recreational development for all town residents to enjoy.  The Rancho Sahuarita Specific Plan also offers active adult communities which are age restricted.

Quail Creek is an age-restricted, gated community on the eastern boundary of the current town limits.  Upon completion, this community will be home to approximately 5,000 families.  It too will provide some commercial and retail development for Quail Creek residents, their visitors and guests.  The Madera Clubhouse offers beautifully appointed rooms for meetings, banquets, entertainment venues and The Grill continues to provide fine dining to both residents and the Sahuarita and Green Valley communities.  Just outside of the Quail Creek Specific Plan area is the smaller custom home community of Stone House.  A Diamond Venture development, Stone House proposed approximately 222 custom home sites and is not an age restricted community.
