
All Fitness classes are held at Anamax Park Recreation Center at 17501 S. Camino De Las Quintas. There are both morning and evening classes offered. Please refer to our monthly Parks & Recreation calendar for the current schedule.
Class fees vary by instructor and payments are due to the instructor at the beginning of class. Classes and schedules are subject to change. Please refer to our monthly Parks and Recreation calendar on our Activities and Classes page for the most up-to-date information.
Current Class Descriptions:
Hatha Yoga - Instructor Debbie Stenson - This yoga class is for all bodies: all sizes, ages, and conditions are welcome because everyone can move at their own pace. The instructor provides direction in the poses for beginners as well as intermediate students. $6.00 drop in rate / $5.00 if pass is purchased in advance.
Interval Training - Instructor Joni Johnston - 45 minutes of whole body strength training followed by 15 minutes of abs. This is the class for you if you are looking to get toned and defined. $5.00 drop in rate.
Turbo Kick - Instructor Joni Johnston and Nina Shoals - Kickboxing and body sculpting workouts to the hottest dance music...so get ready to ROCK your workout. $5.00 drop in rate.
Zumba - Instructor Kathy Pomeroy - This class is a high intensity workout geared to burn calories. Props may be used. $5.00 drop in rate.
Mel's Mix - Instructor Melissa Hinkle - This cardio based class focuses on toning and sculpting muscles in movement. Core muscles will also be engaged while working on balance and stability. No two classes will be the same. Props will be used. $5.00 drop in rate.
Core & Muscles, Muscles & Core - Instructor Nicole Hernandez - Discover a new way to train your body while developing strength, core stabilization, and increasing mental cognition with the BOSU ball. Fun interval style choreography for all fitness levels. Props will be used. $5.00 drop in rate.
Beginning Yoga - Instructor Ramsie Mather - This is a basic level Hatha Yoga class. We will focus on breath work, relaxation, stretching, and body awareness. Yoga is for everyone! $5.00 drop in rate / $45.00 for 10 passes purchased in advance.
