Dispose-A-Med

The Town of Sahuarita Police and the Public Works Department, in partnership with numerous Countywide organizations, invite you to come out and safely dispose of your unused medications. There are dangers with unused medications getting into the wrong hands.
UNUSED MEDICATIONS SHOULD NOT BE FLUSHED DOWN DRAINS AND TOILETS.
Some chemicals found in medications are not completely removed in the wastewater treatment process and could end up in the environment. You can help protect our environment from pollutants. There is now a safe way to properly dispose of unused over-the-counter and prescription medications. Clean out your medicine cabinet and bring your outdated prescription and non-prescription medications to one of our upcoming events.
The fire department will also be providing FREE BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGS.
If you are unable to attend a Dispose-A-Med event,
there is a drop box located in the
Police Department lobby.
Open Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
